To add the Swift search icon to your site’s menu, simply go to Appearance → Menus in your WordPress admin area. On the left sidebar, you’ll see a section called “Swift Search Item.” Expand it, check the “Swift Search Icon” checkbox, and click “Add to Menu.” This will insert a menu item with a search icon (🔍) into your selected navigation.
On the frontend, the icon will appear exactly where you placed it—typically in the top menu bar or header. When clicked, it triggers the Swift Woo Search fullscreen popup, displaying a modern, distraction-free search interface. The popup includes a centered search bar, a loading spinner, and smart live search results styled to match your theme. On mobile, the experience is fully responsive and optimized for quick product discovery with minimal typing. It’s elegant, fast, and designed to convert.
To embed the Swift search bar directly into your page or post content, simply use the shortcode. You can place it anywhere in the WordPress editor—whether it’s a product page, landing page, or even the homepage.
Once published, the shortcode renders a fully functional live search field, styled to match your theme. As users type, real-time results appear instantly below, just like in the main search overlay. This allows you to create custom search experiences outside of your header or menu—perfect for tailored product discovery sections or promotional blocks. The bar is lightweight, mobile-friendly, and integrates seamlessly with all Swift Woo Search features, including fallback logic and relevance scoring. It brings the full power of your search engine into any part of your content.
On the Swift Woo Search Settings page, you can inject the live search bar into any part of your theme—no coding needed. Simply enter the CSS ID or class of your desired container (e.g. #header, .top-bar) in the “Search Bar Container” field.
You can also choose whether the bar should be prepended (appear before existing content) or appended (appear after it).
This gives you full control over placement while keeping your site’s layout intact. It’s a quick and flexible way to display a persistent, styled search field exactly where users expect it—right in your header.
