Nolanverse!Batman: The Dark Knight Rises - 90 icons.

(Notes: These are mostly from the promos and trailers and are semi-heavy on Selina and Bruce. As with my previous set, there are a lot of variations and alternates here, but it could be worse: this set originally totaled nearly 300 icons before I narrowed it down to these 90. I clearly have issues. ;))

Nolanverse!Batman: Batman Begins + The Dark Knight Rises - 55 icons.

(Notes: There are a lot of variations here. A lot. I had a very hard time deciding which versions of certain icons to post, so I ended up posting several different ones. Probably overkill, but there it is. There is also a semi-heavy focus on Gordon, Rachel and Selina which couldn't be helped. ;))

Batman; Nolanverse & Arkham City - 50 icons.

(Notes: Long time, no see, right? I never formally abandoned this community (and I never will, as it holds a great deal of sentimental value for me) but I will admit that it has been a very very long time since I felt the urge to icon anything at all. My last real icon post here was way back in November of 2010. I am a still bit rusty around photoshop, but the bug to icon just hit me recently and I couldn't help myself. While I make no promises, I hope to be inspired to fiddle more often in the future.

I blame both the game Batman: Arkham City and the anticipation for the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises for reigniting my fascination with Batman.)

(Notes: A bit of a mixed bag of experimentation here. First, 49 GWTW icons, including some color variations. I always seem to get the urge to icon this film during my yearly reread of GWTW. This batch also includes a new attempt at making quote icons, using quotes from the Godfather and Fight Club, and lastly, some icons from Lost, Rome, and The Tudors.)

Lost - 50 icons

(Notes: The first 20 of these were made for lost20in20; my claim this month was Season two, which was a bit challenging as it is certainly not my favorite season, but I did perhaps gain a greater respect for it after this. The rest of these are mostly the extras from the challenge. I apologize for the all focus on Lost as of late, I am sure it will die down a bit eventually, and hopefully my inspiration for costume dramas will return soon.)

004 ; The Star Wars Saga  
The Star Wars Saga Revisted - 40 icons.

(Notes: It has been a long while since I’ve felt inspired to work in the Star Wars fandom (I think I burnt out on it a bit a few years back), but I’ve recently become re-inspired thanks to the the absolutely lovely SW fanfiction over at morethanacandle!

With this batch, I really did over-use negative space (again) and my only excuse here is that I have icon-ed these images quite a lot in the past, but that was long before I started really playing around with negative space, so that was the direction these went in. 40 icons total, including several black and white variations.)

003; The Phantom of the Opera  
The Phantom of the Opera Revisited - 45 icons.

(Notes: I read Susan Kay's Phantom recently and it kind of sparked a re-interest in this story for me. This set is relatively Christine/Erik-centric and includes several black and white variations, and even a few attempts at, gasp, text. I realize that I am getting a bit excessive with the center crop + negative space usage as of late; hopefully this is not going to go from an inspiration to a funk. )
