So, with that in mind...
Introduce yourself.
I am interested in getting to know you, and more importantly, if we've met already and when and how.
If we haven't met before, and you are just here randomly, what brought you here?
Considering that some people don't put too many details about themselves into their user page, and few people use icons of themselves, there are many people on LJ that I'm sure I've met that I can't quite place. But I do like getting to know new people, so I'm very pleased to meet you, regardless.
A note: More often than not, I only friend people I know in person, but exceptions can, and have been, made. Making an introduction is a good start to getting to know you, however.
(Inspired by the sheer volume of people I met at Arisia 2005, and that I could only remember about half of them.)
This will eventually be backdated to the year 2525, so it should always be on the front on my LJ. As backdating to the year 2525 is impossible, I originally moved it to 2010. As it's now 2010, I'm moving it to 2015.
Would your reaction be any different if it were a staff member?
Just curious. I am not planning on recording you.
Except for you. You are already being recorded. Right now. You know who you are.
Or to whine about school.
With luck, this will result in a life of wealth and privilege and freedom. Otherwise, it's a lot of debt for a piece of paper that says I am the master of science.
Also, I'm broke. Send employment, preferably something easy that pays a lot.
My first post-college apartment was the subject of a three-alarm fire this morning.

I've been thinking a lot about the places that used to matter, but that I'll never go back to. The Peace Corps Suriname office closing down was a big one, even with my not really intending to ever go back, but now this.
Some awesome and terrible moments in my life happened in this house. And I don't think I ever wanted to go back here, either. But now I never will.
I wanted to write more about my birthday, and thank everyone and say funny things, but I don't really have anything to say right now.
Good old Leo is five-hundred and sixty-one today.
I am much younger by far.

I still love the line about my parent's basement. :P
I would like 2013 to be very different than 2012.
I am struck with a strong feeling of not wanting to be here and not wanting to do this. Observation has noted that I feel this way when I don't get enough sleep.
I went to bed at 11:30 last night. I woke up at 3:00. I would classify this as "not enough sleep."

I'd want to *know*, but I wouldn't mind.
The GM for our Changeling game records each session, and I think that's pretty cool. It enables him to…
I met you at Endgame and then Twitter and then my couch. We're going to staff the same LARP.
