Stupid question but...

Is LiveJournal still a thing?

I haven't checked here in a while due to things and junk and stuff, but it seems folks have migrated elsewhere.  To make an analogy:  LJ is like a local convention out here.  It was once a thriving gathering of like-minded folks, and I'd spend the whole weekend hanging out with friends, wearing costumes, parading around the dealer's room, participating in the art show, and generally having a ton of fun.  Then slowly, at first, all the friends I hung out with moved out of state, or simply stopped going to the convention in favor of happier hunting grounds.  As a result, my own attendance suffered, and soon I was only going on one day, and even then I would ghost the convention, rather than buy a membership, because the few remaining familiar faces would sit in the main concourse talking to each other anyway.  There was no reason for a membership badge, since the dealer's room had shrunk to about a quarter of its former glory, and I was no longer showing art in the art room.

Then one weekend, I simply stopped going.  The convention seemed dead and rather openly hostile at times.

While LiveJournal isn't hostile (to my knowledge), it does seem to have petered out in much the same way our ill-fated convention has.

In other news, I'm making a dinosaur costume.  If you ask why, then you simply don't understand Rar.
