In this tutorial we are going to cover how to activate children that are enrolling on your account.
Once you have added children to Tapestry under the ‘Enrolling’ status, you’ll want to activate them when you either have enough active spaces on your subscription, or when you are ready to contribute to their journal.
You are able to do this individually or in bulk. Head to the relevant tab depending on how you are wanting to do it!
Manager users will have access to the Configuration screen where they will be able to complete this process.
If you do not have enough active spaces on your subscription, you will not be able to activate your children. You will need to either deactivate more children or upgrade your subscription. Contact our friendly product support team on [email protected] to help with this.
If you do not have a lot of children to activate, you may choose to do this for each individual child. Follow the steps below for help with doing this.
Navigating to the 'Children' page
To start, you’ll need to navigate to the ‘Children‘ page where you’ll be able to manage the children on your account.
First, click ‘Configuration‘ on the bottom left of your screen.
The left hand panel will then expand, where you’ll be able to navigate to the ‘Children‘ tab, and then ‘Manage Children‘.
Make a single child active
Next, if you click the ‘Enrolling‘ tab, you will bring up all of your enrolling children, making it easier to find the child. Then, click the cog icon next to their name and select ‘Make XXX Active‘.
Lastly, click ‘OK‘ to proceed with making the child active.
The child will then appear in the list of active children on your account.
If you have a lot of children on your account you would like to activate, you may wish to do this in one action rather than going through each individual child.
Navigating to the 'Children' page
To start, you’ll need to navigate to the ‘Children‘ page where you’ll be able to manage the children on your account.
First, click ‘Configuration‘ on the bottom left of your screen.
The left hand panel will then expand, where you’ll be able to navigate to the ‘Children‘ tab, and then ‘Manage Children‘.
Selecting multiple children
By clicking the ‘Enrolling’ tab at the top of the screen, it will bring up all of the enrolling children on your account.
Then, if you click the ‘Select all‘ button, you’ll notice all of the boxes next to the children on the page will be automatically ticked.
If there are children ticked as part of the group which you do not wish to activate yet, you can untick them individually so they are not included in the activation process.
Lastly, you are taken to a screen where you can confirm the activation of the children. Just click ‘Make Children Active‘ to activate the children.
Be sure to read the information box before proceeding.
Be sure to check the list of children you are activating as you cannot change them back to enrolling once they have been made active.
