Find the solution matching the driver and the error code from your error message in the table below. After performing the instructions, restart your computer and run the installation of the latest version of a Kaspersky application once again.

The error may be related to the malfunction or uninstallation of network drivers for the following third-party applications: VMware Workstation, VMware Player, Cisco AnyConnect, NPF (WinPcap). This error affects not only the installation of Kaspersky software but also software from other providers that use the NDIS filter. Reinstall the applications mentioned above if you use them or have used them before. This should overwrite the information about the problematic drivers and libraries of these applications and solve the installation problem.

  1. Make sure no incompatible applications are installed on your computer. If any of such applications are installed, uninstall them following the instructions.
  2. Perform a disk integrity check:
    1. Open the command line using the instructions and run the command:
      wmic diskdrive >%temp%\disk.log
    2. Open the disk.log file in the %temp% folder and check the values in the Status column.
    3. If Status column has any other value different from OK, replace the disks.
    4. Go back to the command line and run the command:
      wmic /namespace:\\root\wmi path MSStorageDriver_FailurePredictStatus
    5. Check the values in the PredictFailure column in the command output.
    6. Replace the disks having the TRUE value.
    7. Search for the corrupted sectors in all the disks using the following command:
      chkdsk.exe [disk:] /r
      where [disk:] is the name of the disk

      chkdsk.exe С: /r
    8. After replacing the corrupted disks, run the system scan and system file restoration using the command:
      sfc /scannow
    9. If the configuration files or registry of the computer are corrupted, reinstall the system.
