I own a 2024 iPad Mini with Apple Pencil Pro and the reMarkable2. I have to say, having used the Supernote Nomate for a month now, I've come to realized that it's my favorite notetaker. I use it for work (field notes, meetings, minutes, etc.) and personal (journaling, workout logs, etc.) and I love the look of the device and the feel of the writing experience. It's not as scratchy as the reMarkable and not as painfully smooth as writing on an LCD screen. It sits just in the middle for me and the ceramic pen tips not needing replacement was a huge plus for me. I also like how powerful it is when it comes to note organization and how you can 'star' notes/headings to search back for later.
Also, I LOVE the ability to use the Kindle App. I don't purchase books through Kindle anymore but it's nice to have an e-ink device where I can read my entire library instead of on my phone.
My only qualms with it are the shortcut gestures sometimes don't register correctly until after a few attempts (undo and redo in particular) and the lasso tool two-finger shortcut can also be a bit finicky. Otherwise, those are just minor gripes.
I'd also like the ability to be able to install other reading apps like the Barnes & Noble NOOK reading app in the future.
Kudos to the team at Rata. This is a marvelous device.
