TTYD Battle Bits #026: Star Power Level

The amount of Star Power you gain by attacking in TTYD is possible to calculate exactly!

For more information on the differences between the international and Japanese GameCube releases’ Star Power regeneration (notably which moves have increased Stylish multipliers, or were missing Stylish commands entirely, in the latter), check out this Super Mario Files video on the subject.

TTYD Battle Bits #025: Switched-up Spoils

By popular request, here’s a short description of how item drop logic changed for the Switch version of TTYD, following up from Battle Bits #023!

For more information on the original game’s item drop routine, you can read my full article on the matter, and for the tables used by the Switch version, you can see this spreadsheet (with the base weights changed to percentages, since they always sum to exactly 1,000).

TTYD Battle Bits #024: Banking Badges

Almost every badge TTYD supports stacking the effects of can be farmed infinitely from enemies!

For more information on badge drops, you can check out previous articles for:

TTYD Battle Bits #021: Regional Delicacies

Zess T. has slightly different cooking recipes available in the Japanese and international versions of TTYD!

Note: Correction regarding the conflicting “Ultra Shroom + Fresh Pasta” recipes; the upper one is correct in that it makes a Zess Special in JP and Zess Deluxe elsewhere. Not listed is that an Ultra Shroom + Peachy Peach makes a Zess Dinner in JP, and a Zess Special elsewhere.
