Subtitle Workshop is intended to edit video subtitles. Moreover, it can also help you translate subtitles between a pair of languages and correct their timing.
The program has an intuitive interface. Despite the huge number of functions available, a beginner can start by using the basic features without much trouble. There is the basic editing mode, in which you have access to previewing the video while you add subtitles and adjust their timing. In addition, there is the translator mode, in which you can start from an original subtitle and translate it line by line. It is a pity that it does not support automatic translation, which can save you a lot of typing.
The application allows adjusting subtitle timing, either by frame or time. Fortunately, it can also calculate the duration of subtitles automatically, which is very useful when you already have a subtitle file but it is intended for another version of the video. Other useful features are batch conversion to another format as well as subtitle splitting and merging.
In general, Subtitle Workshop is conceptually well-developed. Although I have used other versions of this application several times before without any problem, this version does not seem to be very stable because it stopped working repeatedly when loading a movie file. Another limitation is that it does not support searching for online subtitles.

Cons
- This version does not seem to be very stable because it stopped working repeatedly
- It does not support searching for online subtitles
It's working fine, after all these years!
Too complex to use, antique interface.
It doesn't support some languages, Arabic for example.
Hi, but for me Arabic language does work.
