Here’s How We’re Giving Back
Growing up in Regina, we are very fortunate for the community we have around us. We believe that if you’ve been given a gift, the only way to keep it is to pass it on.
StratLab believes strongly in the principles laid forth in Dr. John McGee’s “Gentle Teaching” philosophy, and we have had the privilege of working with many organizations that share our commitment to care.
We’ve been working with the amazing folks at Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan for a couple of years now. When they told us about their fundraiser, a golf tournament, we were an automatic YES! A fun day on the greens supporting a great cause! See you next year Habitat!
What a night! The Gift of Giving Gala, in its second year, put on a show unlike anything we’ve been part of. Several different photo booths, a caricature guy, interactive booths, and entertainment comparable to Cirque du Soleil. These folks have created an immersive experience wrapped in a fundraiser for a great cause. Can’t wait to see what they pull off next year!
We wanted to bring Non-profits in our city together for a day of celebration, learning, and inspiration. We started the day out without any sponsors, but by the end of the day, WESK hopped on board.

It was stories from those we look up to, panels of experts, a delicious lunch, some games, a few booths to check out, and inspiration served hourly. We’re already planning the Caring Conference 2026, and hope you can make it!
When the Regina Trappers told us they were hosting the National Championship in Regina, we had to be involved. We built and managed the website and made some posters. Now, they end up winning the bronze medal, so that’s something to brag about!! Next year you’ll get ’em, Trappers!!
We’re proud to sponsor the Hopes & Dreams campaign website, a community-powered initiative by the North Central Family Centre that’s raising funds to transform local supports in Regina’s North Central neighbourhood. The campaign focuses on building Orange Buffalo Lodge (affordable, supportive housing), creating a vibrant community hub, and renewing the existing centre into a dedicated space for children, youth, and families. Through this work, Hopes & Dreams helps turn hope into opportunity and builds lasting pathways to stability and belonging for our neighbours.
We’re honoured to support Black Donors Save Lives, a national nonprofit working to address racial disparities in blood, stem cell, organ, and tissue donation and ensure Black patients have equitable access to lifesaving matches. Led by the inspiring Sylvia Okonofua, the organization combines community engagement, education, and advocacy to build trust, increase donor representation, and empower Black communities across Canada. It’s a powerful mission rooted in justice, care, and changing lives — and we’re proud to be part of the journey.
It’s programs like this that help our community in ways we can’t even measure. When we talk to the YMCA about what the program was and who it was for, we were on board to tell the story.

When OneHoop needs help with something, we offer our services. When they were planning the 2025 charity golf tournament, we had to be involved in some way. A fun day for everyone out at Deer Valley golf course. This tournament supports such a great cause in our community, we’ll be back next year to sponsor it again!
We were a part of the inaugural year of Build Love, the idea that started a goodwill movement in Regina. With hundreds of volunteers putting into thousands of hours, this project really was the Regina community coming together to help a family in need. An event to showcase people in our community who are doing something inspiring!
In 2015 with the help of Jordan McFarlen we started Big Idea Camp a business camp for highschool students. It’s now into it’s Fourth year! Big Idea Camp 3.0 saw 16 students and many community partners making it the best year yet. We even offered a job to one lucky Big Idea Camper. Misha (AKA the Mish Kebab!) is still working with Strategy Lab and is more enthusiastic than ever!
We can hardly wait for Big Idea Camp 4.0!
Jeph teaches Admin 224 (Entrepreneurship) at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The class project was to start a company that actually created a product and sold it for a profit. The class chose social enterprise (donating the profit back to a Non-profit) and we ended up selling 60 t-shirts in 7 days and donating $1,000 to Carmichael Outreach in Regina. Then in 2016 we were interviewed on CBC for the “Free Hugs” campaign we did!
This years class project was to start a company that sold “MisMatched Mittens”. We again went with social enterprise and we ended up selling 89 pairs of mitts in 3 weeks and donating $885 to the Redcross #ImagineNoBullying Campaign in Regina. We also got a little press in the LeaderPost for MisMatched Mitten.
