Choose the Right Deployment Model for your Cloud

Disaggregated Cloud

In a disaggregated deployment, your hypervisor(s), virtual machines, and applications run on separate servers than the ones that run your storage services. This is the model used for large cloud deployments. It’s easy to migrate your data from a large storage system to distributed storage like StorPool.

Hyperconverged Cloud

In a hyperconverged deployment, your hypervisor(s), virtual machines, and applications run on the same servers that run your storage services. Since the StorPool Storage software only uses about 10% of a server’s resources (CPU and RAM), a hyperconverged deployment can be very cost-effective as it requires less server hardware.
