MANEL MIRÓ ALAIX (Barcelona, 1962)
Graduated in Prehistory and Ancient History from the University of Barcelona in 1985 and specialised in Heritage Management and Interpretation from the Barcelona Heritage School in 1990.
In 1996 he founded “Stoa – Planning, communication and presentation of heritage”, where he currently holds the position of director of the Interpretation and Museography Department. He has directed more than a hundred projects for the interpretation and enhancement of heritage in Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Italy and Peru.
He is currently a professor of Heritage Management in the Master's Degree in Cultural Management at the International University of Catalonia and a professor of Heritage Interpretation in the Master's Degree in Architecture and Historical Heritage at the University of Seville.
He has taught as a professor of heritage interpretation at the following universities:
University of Barcelona, University of Girona, Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona, University of Lleida, University of Seville, University of Granada, University of Jaén, International University of Andalusia, University of La Coruña, Carlos III University of Madrid, Complutense University of Madrid, University of Piura (Peru), University of Ciego de Ávila (Cuba), University of La Frontera in Temuco (Chile).
Since 2013 he has published the blog, "Raining Stones", dedicated to heritage interpretation and management.
