Our story

This is where we took off.

The Stevens Aerospace story began in the 1940s when J.P. Stevens and Company — one of the era’s largest textile makers — recruited a team of aviation experts to maintain their small fleet. Their reputation for precision and service spread quickly, and it wasn’t long before other owner-operators were bringing their airplanes to Greenville, South Carolina, to receive that same quality of care. By 1950, Stevens Aviation was born, and we’ve been climbing ever since.

The team here at Stevens is incredibly unique. There are guys who have been here 10, 15, 20 years. You develop relationships over that period of time, and you grow both professionally and personally.

It’s gonna sound cheesy, but people ask me what I do. I say, “I keep people safe.” I do that by fixing airplanes. I just have that mentality that if I fix this aircraft, I’m going to put my kids on it.

Marvel Bailey has worn a lot of hats in 25 years—from inspecting F-15s in Okinawa with the U.S Air Force to leading customer care at our GYH location. He's seen every side of the hangar, led teams through economic highs and lows, and delivered aircraft with zero customer squawks.

In our latest blog, Marvel shares how a walk-in resume led to a lifelong career, what still drives him after two decades, and the advice he gives to anyone stepping into aviation.

✨ 75 Years of Partnerships. 75 Years of Passion. ✨

What an incredible week at NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Las Vegas! This year was extra special as we celebrated 75 years of Stevens Aerospace — and the incredible partnerships that have made this journey possible.

Our booth was buzzing all week with:
🛩️ Custom propeller giveaways — congratulations to our four lucky winners: Kandi Spangler, Loy Alen, John Pablo Gilbert, and Randy Alexander! 🎉
🕺 Live aviation history brought to life with our living statues
🍪 Hand-decorated cookies from @cakewithasideofcookies — including a stunning custom Citation paint scheme
🧱 Custom LEGO sets of our AOG truck and hangar from @lavishbrandinggroupnc (seriously… if you didn’t snag one, you missed out!)
✏️Digital caricatures by the talented Ryan Rhoads from Digital Caricatures Live @ryrhoads

And of course, a huge thank you to our incredible Gate 75 sponsors, Aviation Fabricators, @gogobizav, @gladaaero , @blr_aerospace , @iadassociation , Airtext (Send) , @raisbeckengineering , @blackhawkaerospace , who helped make this celebration possible!

To top it all off, we were proud to announce our STC for the Gogo Galileo HDX high-speed internet system - now approved for the King Air 200 and 300 series.

But more than the fun, this show is about people. The passion, the innovation, and the community that make business aviation what it is. Every conversation, handshake, and laugh reminded us why we love this industry so much.

We’re not done yet — we’ll see you at NBAA Southeast Regional Forum in South Florida this February. And if you weren’t one of the lucky winners this time, make sure to follow along… we’ve got even more in store for 2026.

Thank you for 75 incredible years. Here’s to the next 75. 💙

🚨 Check out our latest blog to see how hands-on experience shapes great leadership in AOG service!

Andrew Graham’s career at Stevens Aerospace has been all about growth, leadership, and building trust. From starting on the floor as a technician to now leading our AOG team in Greenville, he knows what it takes to keep aircraft moving when it matters most.

He’s turned wrenches, crawled into tight spaces, and learned from the best, and that experience shows every time his team responds to a call. “Our goal isn’t just to do the job. It’s to make the customer feel like they’re in good hands the moment we arrive,” Andrew says.

For him, success is about people and relationships just as much as technical skill. Supporting his team, building long-term customer relationships, and living the culture that keeps people at Stevens for decades are what make our AOG program stand out.
