Practise Run Filling Shelving

Well guys with plenty of mag's, comics and books on line, and so it is that i now have thousands to chose from and here i just wanted a dummy run to see what filling in effect can be achieved when playing the dressing up game of using loose book props to do a little bit of magic while eagerly at play. Yes all in all it is a contrived game of taking time out to play the ultimate  patience game ever devised by my good Topsy Turvy self. An ideal game for dark rainy wet days of ultimate storm.
Below a little less than halfway through one facing side, but  they will do this one time, just in order to get the feel of the game.

The little books, props one and all were all printed out, and made stretching back over three years. For a project so simple and cheap meant all the way throughout the Covid19  time of great distress i beavered away all those dark heartfelt days scratch building my playful game where my ideas were stretched out to new heights as Sir Percy's  library began to take it's ship shape formulation based upon my written dreams. Hopeful ripping yarns along with written story books all stem from that wonderland place of fancy.      Which is that place between everyones ears.

When all twelve double sided archways are completed then they can be painted.

Well thanks for stopping by,
And i hope that you've enjoyed your visit.                                                                                                      Until the next one,
Take care, and stay safe.      BB

Who was or is Nobody? Well that is altogether another ancient story.

Sir Percy, was lost in his Library, but being found again within some strange sci fi adventure was returned to this place within the evergreen gardens  of Fiddle Wood in the Village of Old Catton, Old England

Old empty pens have other uses, and in this case they can be used to scribe out the paper card to create a good finish. Which requires very little skill at all. After all it is just applying enough pressure to get that relaxed job done.

As one side had been scratch-built all were turned over to work upon the sides.

This doubles the book space available... he he he!

With that other side complete upon e'm all... time must drift along to the next stage.

A long strip of paper card was cut out,and marked out using a cheap ball point pen. Applying a heavy pressure down each line will help bend the paper card to form each curved archway, and it was and is as simple as that.

My old craft kinfe points to where the curve would be 'easy peasy', set solid tight into place.

With the glue spread over each part, each scribed out piece was pushed into place and under enough presser rolled over by using my old craft knife handle.... and in line with shopwork safty there was no blade fixed into it.

And so it came to pass that each and every side was part finished without any dust at all.

Yes with a little smile, all were duly stacked up waiting until the next time when they would all be, Yes' finished off and ship shod ready for painting, where they would all be looking the toy library part that i intended for them longago even before cutting anything to size or scale.
.

These twelve bookcase arches will house at least five thousand tiny loose styled books of my own design and making printed from classic books of yesteryear.

Sir Percy, has come far in his ripping storybook yarn, where he started work of building up his library, helped by friendly aliens. Only to get lost later  within the deceptive invisable walls of his strange beguiling library.
