Gag Simulator

When I played the demo back in October of 2025 I was pleasantly surprised by how unique and jolly the experience was. "Having an entire subway available in this bizarre setting could lead to so many engaging sequences" I thought to myself. I didn't have over the top expectations, a somewhat lengthy campaign with gags here and there spiced up by horror elements to keep the roller coaster of emotions going. Boy was I wrong.

It surely delivered the roller coaster, but it ended so fast and so abruptly I didn't even understand what happened at first. I figured "hey, maybe multiple playthroughs is a thing, just start the game over and it will either unlock more interactions or the worst case, I'll just play differently, make different choices". Neither was the case. And upon glancing on achievements I figured out what this game truly was. A gag hunting simulator.

Don't get me wrong, nothing is wrong if the intent was to make it this way. But certain elements are preventing you from properly enjoying the idea.

For example, the main thing - the subway is both a blessing and a curse. Because yeah, it's cool to have a fully functioning subway, but In order to go looking for them gags not only you have to wait for trains to arrive, you gotta ride them, and you can't skip the rides. I'd understand if you had any gameplay there beyond running back and forth and making fun of how ugly everyone is, but you don't.

It's not a "haha look at this overstimulated individual that can't stand in one place for a little while" moment, because I can stand still in a subway irl and standing still is boring. Most people do it anyway, so THE LEAST you could do is make it somewhat engaging, because it's a video game. Make NPCs do or say weird things, have a power outage during one of the rides, have an emergency where you gotta take over the train and deliver it safely SOMETHING. You don't have to do it all the time, but not having anything at all is worse.

You have no chapter select, so you can't skip to a certain part of the game, meaning you are stuck doing mostly nothing. When you skip dialogues a chunk of your gameplay is just waiting and walking. At some point one achievements is literally forcing you to just do nothing to get it, again, wasting my time. Another forces you to collect X number of coins, so enjoy pixel hunting.

I did explore every station, there is barely anything worth finding and I couldn't be bothered to waste time traveling from place to place at different times during the story to sniff out a lil joke. It's not complete garbage, it's alright, but it lasts for around an hour unless you are willing to subject yourself to hunting gags, which will turn into 1.5-2 hours.

I'm refunding this. This was a massive let down.
