L4D2 Hard X Expert Custom Servers

Hard X refers to any gamemode that derives from Hard 8. the X means any number of MaxSpecials (up to 28).

Servers are restricted to the gamemodes:

• hard eight
  
• campaign
  
• realism

Difficulty is restricted to Expert.


the more direct gameplay is kept as vanilla as possible. minimal adjustments are made in situations where vanilla balance doesn't carry over to the gamemode well.

changes that are good to know, but aren't immediately obvious:

• rescue closets disabled
  
• idle exploits fixed (don't try to idle-molly the witch)
  
• auto-healing during saferoom load screen (you don't need to kill yourself)
  
• you can crawl while incapped
  
• pass any item with your reload key

the most un-vanilla thing will be the director/spawn behavior. core concepts like tempo apply, just reimagined.
