Since launch, you've been sending us feedback, bug reports, suggestions, and plenty of passionate opinions, and we've been listening. Your participation helps us shape Rogue Core into a better game.

We've been hard at work on our first major update and we're excited to finally share the details with you.

Many of these changes touch core gameplay systems and represent significant improvements. We're 90% confident that everything listed below will make it into the update. That said, it's a substantial amount of work, and we may need to delay a few items if necessary to ensure a smooth and timely release.

If you'd like to help us test these changes or simply get an early look at what's coming, we'll be opening our Experimental Branch very soon. We will make a post detailing how you can get access when the time comes.

We've updated the mission timer to better communicate what's happening during a run.

• Clearer timer feedback and readability

• Optional numerical countdown showing exactly when Reaperworms will appear

You can now choose your preferred Assault Pace directly from the mission map:

• Cautious – Lower time pressure

• Standard – Current experience

• Reckless – Higher time pressure, higher rewards

Upgrading at the R.E.P.D. has been streamlined.

• When an upgrade becomes available, an interaction button will appear on the R.E.P.D.

• Any Reclaimer can activate it

• All players will receive the upgrade simultaneously, regardless of their location

We've made several improvements to upgrade drafts and player choice.

• When a player selects an upgrade, it is replaced with a new option, ensuring everyone gets the same number of choices

• The "Skip for Health" option has been removed

• Health upgrades now appear alongside all other upgrades

• All upgrades within a draft now share the same rarity

• We're continuing to review and rebalance upgrades to make every choice feel exciting and worthwhile

• Trident – Energy Shotgun (Starting Weapon Pool)

• Corrosive Sludge Pump – Heavy Weapon

Voidkin Drifter – A brand-new flying threat. The Corespawn have taken to the skies.

Our goal is to introduce a unique Core biome for each end boss.

With Update 1, we're adding a new Core biome for The Ramok. For now, Molaktula will also use this biome until its own unique environment arrives in a future update.

More than 12 new mining constructions have been added to mining facilities, bringing greater variety to facility exploration.

• We are looking into adding some new deployments for greater variety.

• We're making a broad pass on weapon balance to create a more consistent difficulty floor across the game.

• Additionally, several harder-to-master weapons have been moved from the Starting Weapon Pool to the Workbench, allowing new players to ease into the experience more naturally.

• There will also be a balance pass - but remember that this is an ongoing process

• An additional Munitions Crate has been added to each Facility level to improve ammo economy

• More Red Sugar has been added throughout the caves to help offset the removal of "Skip for Health"

• Free Leaf Lovers at the bar

• New Tracks for the Jukebox: Disco, Smooth Soul, Funk

• Stacking of enhancements for better overview in Loadout Terminal

• Auto-equip highest tier enhancements when unlocking new enhancements

• Added auto-sprint. This can be toggled on and off in the settings.

PATCH NOTES: RC:EA:00.07.11[/b] (Build 143525 - 28/05/2026)

While we working on content for the next big update, here's a patch with some fixes for some of the most reported bugs.

We are aware that some players are having issues with the serverlist, and It is something we are very much investigating at the moment.

- Bugfix for Ellis sometimes getting stuck when called to weapon crates.

- Fixed that the Bio-Booster became unhackable if a dwarf disconnected/left the game mid hack.

- Fixed that the sticky grenade didn’t unlock in the Reclaimer Handbook.

- Fix for some Reclaimers losing control of their dwarves if they had the chatbox up when the level transitioned.

- Fixed that the HUD didn’t update properly for Hosts when Reclaimers latejoined.

- Fixed Omega stacking shouts and yelling about buttons forever if you kept pressing his buttons.

- Fix for the level timer breaking when players late join.

- Fixed the workbench resetting if you rejoin.

- Fixed Run history - now a Reclaimed Facility should show as reclaimed for both Host and client.

- Fix Gauntlet seeds not being serialized and deserialized properly.

- Fix for the Gauntlet serverlist.

- Fixed the elite gauntlet resetting the rewards in the normal Gauntlet.

- Removed the path finder collision on entrance elevator in Gauntlet - now the Corespawn can get you in there.

- Attempt to fix players being able to be take damage after the exit elevator has been reached.

- Made it so items (cameras, expenite, redsugar, ect.) should no longer spawn inside the Research Subject Construction.

- Made it so Core Rifts no longer will spawn right above (or on) the Elevator Drive Unit.

- Cleaned up the Elevator Drive Unit hitbox so you can shoot close to it without your shots hitting thin air.

- Reduced the Merit requirements of Early Ascensions, Enhancement Tree Gates, Deployment Slots.

- Prevent crash if starting ability at a bad time.

- Prevent crash if damage a deleted player character.

- Adding more connection logging to get some more info out of logs from users who fail to connect.

- Blocked bar from being entered when under the influence of Underhill Deluxe to prevent dwarves getting stuck.

NOTE: If you get stuck anywhere on the Ramrod, you can go to the ESC menu > hover your Icon > Click the Respawn button. It is easy for a dwarf to get stuck.
