Rethinking my decision not to purchase those Ferrero Rochers on sale, and weighing it against the fact that it's now raining really hard.

The fire alarm woke me up at 4am this morning. My cats scattered in terror. I contemplated going outside, but it was cold. Instead, I watched from the window to see if any of my neighbors emerged from the building. Nobody did. The alarm went silent as two fire trucks pulled up. My cats eventually re-emerged, but of course I couldn't get back to sleep. :[

Twenty seconds is a long time, when you're waiting for a banana nut muffin to warm up in the microwave.
