Turns out I didn't really want to manage my own infrastructure at home, so this is likely the best option for me to stop having to rely on streaming platforms.

Stuck my SIM card back in my Light Phone III. It's buggy and unfinished, but my gosh, life was quieter for the whole month I didn't have a true smartphone.

Knocked Loose is still absolutely evil for splitting these songs across sides A and B of their vinyl release.

Finally rolled credits on Metroid Prime Remastered. Played this over multiple months, but it felt good to check it off.

I want to play the Metroid series in chronological order, so I may now wait to see if Nintendo releases Prime 2 and 3 on Switch.

Otherwise, there's always PrimeHack.

This was a good watch.

Repaired my ceiling fan and feeling maybe a little too proud about it.

Fantastic Four: First Steps was actually really good, but holy moly, some of the emotional moments hit painfully hard as the parent of a 1+ old. It'll be some time before I can circle back and watch that one again.

My Light Phone III is finally out for delivery today. I've been jumping around between smart devices and haven't been able to settle into any of them over the last few months. Crossing my fingers that this is what clicks.

Snagged tickets to see Spiritbox. Finally get to see them headline a show.

I'm over three hours into 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, and I still have no clue as to what the fuck is happening.

We've already gotten new albums by L.S. Dunes, Jinjer, Architects, Spiritbox, Underoath, Lights, and Sleep Token this year. Feeling a smidge spoiled.

I wish I understood why I have to keep momentum up when playing video games (otherwise I'll just drop them), but at least it's really fun so far.

Just finished Red Rooms, the French film from 2023.

Uhhh, I haven't been that on edge with a movie in a while. I don't think I could ever watch it again, but what a ride. The scenario in the story is horrible, but it was a fascinating watch.

Daredevil: Born Again just keeps on giving. It's basically the only reason I'm interested in Marvel stuff right now.

I finally (truly) picked up Zelda: Minish Cap for the first time in quite a while.

Games with lots of puzzles and quirky mechanics can be hard to put down for a while, so I'm glad I didn't totally forget everything that was happening.

Finished The Outsider tonight.

I'd forgotten a lot of the larger plot points from the miniseries, so that was a really enjoyable experience to fly through in just a few days.

Scheduled Facebook and Instagram for deletion. A bit overdue, but I'm looking forward to not having any reliance on those platforms anymore.

Next tattoo appointment officially scheduled.

Gosh, I love passkeys.

Made the choice to get five total shots of espresso in my latte this morning. I don’t think my body likes me for it.

Pro tip: always keep some cash in your car (if you can afford the risk).

Started and finished COCOON in less than 24 hours.

That was one of the coolest puzzle games I’ve played. I love short video games.

Finished Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective on DS. As a long time Ace Attorney fan, it felt good to finally roll credits on this one.

Just changed my kid’s diaper while he held a bottle feeding himself at ~7 months old. I think I’m a professional dad now.

Just finished The Shining for the first time. I’m still not super familiar with Kubrick’s movies overall, but that was a hell of a lot more approachable than 2001: A Space Odyssey.
