Various methods of teaching life skills are also elaborated like the discussion method, debate, role plays, brainstorming, miming, buzz group, games, poetry and recitals etc. which can be used effectively as a part of the school curriculum to inculcate life skills among school students.

Tools used were Environmental Awareness Scale (1994) by Cito and General Ecological Behaviour Scale by . Statistical treatment included one-way ANOVA and correlation. Results indicate that English medium students of urban areas have higher environmental awareness than Bengali medium students of semi-urbanized rural areas. Results further show that status has no effect on environmental awareness. A positive correlation was found between environmental awareness and ecological behaviour. The study suggests incorporation of environmental education as a subject in the B.Ed. curriculum, so that future teachers can instill in their students environmental sensibilities.

At first this word was used for the mask worn by the actors (Roman and Greek) in ancient times, to indicate the character they portrayed. Personality is the total quality of an individual behavior as it is shown in his habits, thinking, temperament, attitudes, interests, his manner of acting and his personal philosophy of life. Personality refers to deeply ingrained patterns of behavior, which include the way one relates to, perceives and thinks about the environment and one self. (American Psychiatric Association-1987). Personality may be defined as the dynamic organization within the individual of those psycho-physical systems that determine his unique adjustment to his environment. (Allport, 1948).
