Library Cards
Your Library Card opens the door to knowledge and entertainment: from museum and state park passes, to online learning and genealogy, to streaming media and more, your card makes so much possible. And yes, there are books!
Requests & Loans
Our Library holds 80,000 books; our library system can share over 875,000 books! Even with all of those choices, if we do not have the book you want, you may use the forms below to request that we purchase a book, or to borrow a book from outside our system.
Creation Station Maker Space
The Southeast Steuben County Library’s Creation Station is a public creative space. It has a widely diverse set of high tech and non-tech tools and supplies to help you make almost anything you can imagine.
Tech Coaching
We are committed to supporting digital literacy by offering one-on-one or small group coaching with several kinds of technologies. Our experienced staff can help you learn to use tech the way you want, by addressing your questions, challenges, and goals.
Room Reservations
Reserve a meeting room at our library for your group's next gathering. Our spaces are ideal for group study sessions, meetings, and collaborative projects, available to suit your scheduling needs.
Seed Library
One of the Library’s most interesting collections is our Seed Library, where patrons can get free seeds for flowers, fruits, and vegetables. It is a unique collaborative program, where patrons can also donate seeds to be shared with others.

Explore our Newspapers and Periodicals section for access to a wide range of local, national, and international publications. Stay informed with the latest news, articles, and features across various topics and interests.
Local History & Genealogy
The Library is delighted to offer the following unique resources for genealogy research: our local history collection, our microfiche collection of area newspapers dating back as far as the 1840s, and Heritage Quest online.
