Caring for Survivors: Trauma-Informed Medical Care – Wednesday, April 15th @ 12 noon – 1pm
Sexualized violence is often invasive, leaving survivors feeling unsafe in their bodies. Medical care can be a crucial step in a survivor’s healing (or at minimum, a necessary element of their wellbeing throughout life). Knowing how to care for survivors of sexualized violence in a medical setting may make a life-changing difference to the survivor you are helping. Learn all about the aspects of trauma-informed medical care, the basics of sexualized violence and consent, and specific ways you can help survivors feel more comfortable in your care (that you may not even be aware of!).
Deconstructing Rape Culture: Breaking Down the Roots of Sexualized Violence – Wednesday, May 13th @ 12 noon – 1pm
Why is sexualized violence so common? Why are survivors interrogated about the validity of their experiences (more so than a survivor of any other kind of crime)? Why do we as a culture assume people lie about sexualized violence? Take a deep dive into the roots of the issue of sexualized violence, how you many be facilitating rape culture (yes, you), and find out what’s being done to combat rape culture both locally and worldwide. This webinar is also a part of our Sexualized Violence Awareness Month 2026 Campaign – #ChooseToSee, #ChooseToUnlearn.
Safe Navigators: Raising Kids in the Digital Age – Wednesday, June 18th @ 12 noon – 1pm
It’s inevitable; children grow up with technology and access to the internet all around them. This presentation will cover strategies for caregivers, educators, and other invested adults on how to have open, honest conversations with youth to help them recognize risks, set boundaries, and protect themselves in digital spaces. Finally, we will discuss steps for both youth and parents to take if they experience or suspect online sexualized violence, including how to report abuse and access available resources and support networks.
