Organizations might face a number of barriers to develop micro insurance especially in rural areas; therefore it is necessary to identify such challenges. This study investigates agricultural experts' perception about the challenges of micro insurance development. The factor analysis showed that the challenges can be classified into 3 latent factors namely: educational challenges, cultural-social challenges and legal-institutional challenges. 39.1% of total common variances are explained by these 3 factors.

The aim of this study was to investigate which factors influence green house workers' attitudes to pesticide use in a case study of 50 greenhouse workers in Hashtgerd city, Iran. Using Bayesian confirmatory factor analysis, variables influenced on farmers' attitude to pesticide use classified into five latent variables named Extension-Educational, Economic, Legal, Technical, and Social factors. The regression results indicated that two factors named Extension-Educational and Legal factors affected the Greenhouse Workers' attitude towards pesticide use. These factors could totally explained 36.2% of variance. So based on results, training programs can play a crucial role in pest control decisions, providing farmers with the technical knowledge that is necessary for the selection of appropriate pest management methods and also for safe and effective pesticide use.

The first necessary step to formulate effective public policies to encourage agricultural FDI inflow to a host country is to develop a comprehensive understanding of the main determinants of FDI inflow to the agricultural sector, which is the main objective of the present study.Design/methodology/approachIn view of this, we take a comprehensive approach to exploring the macroeconomic and institutional determinants of FDI inflow to the agricultural sector by examining a large panel data set on agricultural FDI inflows of 37 countries, investigating both groups of developed and developing countries, incorporating a large list of potentially relevant macroeconomic and institutional variables, and applying panel-data econometric models and estimation structures, including pooled, fixed-effects and random-effects regression models.FindingsThe general pattern of our findings implies that the degree of openness of an economy has a negative effect on FDI inflows to agricultural sectors, suggesting that the higher the degree of openness in an economy, the lower the level of agricultural protection against foreign trade and imports, and thus the less incentive for FDI to inflow to the agricultural sector of the economy. Additionally, our results show that economic growth (as an indicator of the rate of market-size growth in the host economy) and per-capita real GDP (as an indicator of the standard of living in the host country) are both positively related to FDI inflows to agricultural sectors. Our other results suggest that agricultural FDI tends to flow more to developing countries in general and more to those with higher standards of living and income levels in particular.Originality/valueFDI inflow has not received much attention with respect to the identification of its main determinants in the context of agricultural sectors. Additionally, there are very few panel-data studies on the determinants of FDI, and even more surprisingly, there are no such studies on the main determinants of FDI inflow to the agricultural sector. We have taken a comprehensive approach by studying FDI inflow variations across countries as well as over time.

To examine the value of various predictors of achievement such as the contribution of ability, self-efficacy, goal orientation, and learning strategy use/regulation to variation in academic performance. Methods. Students in the first 3 years of a professional pharmacy program completed measures of selfefficacy, goal orientation, and learning strategy use/regulation. Aptitude and achievement data were obtained from the University's records. Analysis of variance was used to determine group differences. Results. High-achieving students can be differentiated from their low-achieving counterparts through ability measures such as chemistry PCAT and science/math grade point average, as well as self-efficacy via achievement calibration and recall ability. Conclusions. Given these findings, early monitoring of students' self-efficacy and their use of learning strategies after admission is recommended with the goal of developing early intervention programs for students whose achievement difficulties might be attributed to these factors.

According to FAO (HLPE, 2014), a food system gathers all the elements (environment, people, inputs, processes, infrastructures, institutions, etc.) Today, all the components of the agri-food systems are concerned by a huge need for innovation to reach sustainability (Tilman & Clark, 2015). Agro-industry is an activity that uses the product of the primary sector (agriculture, plantation and forestry) as raw materials, designing and providing the equipment and services for the primary sector itself (Adriadi Ghiffari, 2016). Given that the food industry in the industrial world is accompanied by intense competition and the active presence of large transnational companies, competition

The statistical population comprised all residents who had carried out urban agricultural activity of some sort in Tehran. The method was primarily based on a questionnaire to which urban farmers responded. The results showed that different dimensions of urban agriculture had different factor loads. These were the social dimension, the economic dimension, the spatial dimension, the environmental dimension, and the mental dimension which had great impacts on the conduct of urban agriculture. The greatest impact of urban agriculture on sustainable development was ‘concern for citizen health’. The results of the goodness-of-fit indexes showed that the model provided an excellent fit for the data. Finally, the relationship between urban agriculture and sustainable urban development was statistically confirmed. The scale of values for each subset corresponded with each other and thus confirmed a possible relationship between the importance of the five dimensions in relation to each other and in relation to sustainable development. This research offers a new insight into the specifications of the Tehrani population and how they shape an interplay of mechanisms in discussion that ultimately result in data and results. In conclusion, the urban agriculture has a certain degree of positive impact on sustainable urban development as well as the quality of ecological environment.

The present research which was conducted in two qualitative and quantitative phases designed a new model by integrating the new village-cooperative approach along with the sustainable livelihood's framework theory. The study sample of the qualitative phase included 32 theorists of the village-cooperative initiative. To analyze the data, the grounded theory and three-step process of open coding, axial coding and selective coding were used using MAXqda18 software. Finally, a paradigm model was designed whose most important components included causal conditions (shocks and seasonal conditions), contextual conditions (trends and governmental support), intervening conditions (control and market development), central categories (sustainable livelihoods with a village-cooperative approach), strategies (coping and adaptation) and consequences (creating jobs, establishing cooperatives, supporting smart agriculture and strengthening social capital). The statistical quantitative phase population consisted of cooperatives members in the village-cooperative initiative (N=405), being selected through Cochran's formula with proportional sampling method summing up to198 people from 5 provinces. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity and reliability were confirmed. The Bayesian structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. The results of the research quantitative phase showed that the variables of financial capital, physical capital, social capital, coping and adaptation strategies, human capital and natural capital were the most effective variables on village-cooperative initiative members' sustainable livelihoods, respectively. Finally, a hybrid model based on the qualitative and quantitative studies was designed and suggestions were made; for instance, the creation of suitable grounds for off-farm activities such as rural industries and ecotourism.

In this regard, the present study investigates the effective factors on entrepreneurial behavior with Fars rural women ecotourism approach in Iran. The participants of the study were 431 of rural women in Fars and 205 were determined by Cochran formula. It is inferred from the results that step-by-step procedure of changing norms towards the acceptance of rural women entrepreneurs as well as the acceptance of ecotourism culture through the establishment of local and regional institutions and organizations in a context of family support with strong bonds of commitment, solidarity, environmental and infrastructural foundations will lead to a strong desire to constitute ecotourism residence by rural women.

Nanotechnology provides the grounds to understand the food components on a small scale in the food industry. The present study aimed at analyzing the application of nanotechnology to improve the food security. The study sample included all experts (N= 90) of Iran's Nanotechnology Innovation Council selected by a census. This study used a descriptive-survey method. A questionnaire was developed based on the study's theoretical framework and used for data collection. The validity (content and face) and reliability (factor loading, coefficient of composite reliability, and Cronbach's Alpha coefficient) of the questionnaire were confirmed. The results of testing the hypotheses using Smart PLS, i.e., t-test and path coefficients (β), showed that the food packaging mechanisms directly and significantly affected food security improvement through using nanotechnology. The findings also displayed that the food preservation, processing, and production mechanisms influenced food security improvement through using nanotechnology. By using nanotechnology, the results indicated a direct relationship between foods' taste and color improvement as well as food safety and health improvement.
