Security Update to Avoid Remote Code Execution

Microsoft just released a few new GDR updates for SQL Server 2022, 2019, and 2017 to avoid a security problem. Bad actors could infiltrate a connection driver, and when that driver connected to SQL Server, it could cause arbitrary code execution on the client.

I’ve updated the Most Recent Updates page with links to the GDRs for each version. Enjoy!

I make Microsoft SQL Server faster and more reliable. I love teaching, travel, and laughing.
