Dr. Si Qin is a Principal Research Manager in the Data, Knowledge, and Intelligence (DKI) area of Microsoft, where he leads research and applied science efforts focused on large language models (LLMs) and AI agents. Prior to this role, he served as a Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research Asia, where he dedicated his work to advancing AI for IT Operations (AIOps). His innovations have been successfully deployed in various Microsoft products and services, significantly enhancing their intelligence and automation capabilities. He has received multiple awards from Microsoft, including the Distinguished Contribution Award at the 2021 Microsoft Machine Learning, AI, and Data Science Conference, Best Tech Transfers of the Year Award at Microsoft Research Asia, and Team Award at Microsoft Asia-Pacific R&D.

Before joining Microsoft, Dr. Qin worked on speech signal processing at Sogou and Didi between 2016 and 2018. He is a globally recognized expert in signal processing, AIOps, LLMs, and AI agents. He has authored over 50 research papers in top-tier conferences and journals and holds more than 10 patents. His academic contributions have also been widely acknowledged by the research community, earning him several prestigious honors, including Best Student Paper Award at the 2012 IEEE International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, First Prize in the Student Paper Competition at the 2014 IEEE Benjamin Franklin Symposium on Microwave and Antenna Sub-systems, 2018 Young Author Best Paper Award from the IEEE Signal Processing Society, and 2021 Best Paper Award from the European Association for Signal Processing.

In 2022, he was elevated to IEEE Senior Member. His book "LLM-powered GUI Agents: A New Era of Human-Computer Interaction" was published in 2025.

秦思博士现任微软数据、知识与智能（DKI）领域首席研究经理，负责领导大规模语言模型（LLM）智能体方向的研究与应用科学工作。在此之前，他曾任微软亚洲研究院首席研究员，专注于智能运维（AIOps）的核心技术创新与产品落地，其研究成果已在多项微软核心产品中成功部署。秦博士拥有十余项授权发明专利，并多次凭借卓越贡献荣获微软重要奖项，包括 2021 年微软机器学习、AI 与数据科学大会杰出贡献奖、微软亚洲研究院年度最佳技术转化奖，以及微软亚太研发团队年度团队奖等。

在加入微软之前，秦博士于 2016 至 2018 年先后就职于搜狗与滴滴，主要从事语音信号处理方向的研发工作。作为信号处理、AIOps、LLM 与 AI 智能体方向的国际公认专家，他已在顶级国际会议与期刊发表50余篇论文。其学术贡献亦获得重要国际学术组织的高度认可，曾荣获 2012 年IEEE国际微波与毫米波技术大会最佳学生论文奖、2014 年 IEEE 本杰明·富兰克林微波与天线子系统研讨会学生论文竞赛一等奖、2018 年IEEE信号处理学会青年最佳论文奖，以及 2021 年欧洲信号处理协会最佳论文奖等多项重量级荣誉。

秦博士于 2022 年当选 IEEE 高级会员，并于 2025 年出版专著《大语言模型 GUI 智能体：人机交互新时代》。
