CAPE 2 [University of Louisiana]

CAPE 2 (Cajun Advanced Picosat Experiment 2) was the second satellite developed at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

The purpose of CAPE 2 is to gather data while orbiting in space and transmit this data to the ground station on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus. The team of engineering students runs experiments and maintain the satellite while in orbit.

The secondary missions are to improve local educational outreach, to test deployable solar panels and using UHF Radio and VHF Radio.

CAPE 2 is a 1U CubeSat with deployable solar arrays and features following payloads: Voice Repeater, Text to Speech, Tweeting, Digipeater, File Storage and Transfers, DTMF Query.

It was launched on the ELaNa-4 mission.
