Dear anime friends,
This is a message to tell you that we’re closing our fansub group as of today. Kai and I founded this group in 2016 when we finished our first fan-made series subtitles. Until then, we had thought of it as a one-time collaboration. But we were both so passionate about sharing classic anime and our childhood favorites, and (re)introducing them to parts of the world without official releases, that we decided to continue. This led to several other projects, of which ‘Raccoon Rascal’ was the last. But, handcrafting subtitles for (in most cases) 52 episodes (of up to 400+ lines each) is a lot of hard work. It requires tonnes of energy and a huge amount of time. And all the work was done with just a few people. We have found it increasingly difficult to balance all fansubbing tasks with work and the rest of our lives. Recent events have made it literally impossible to continue. So, this is a farewell. We hope you’ve enjoyed, or you will enjoy, our subs and thank everyone who worked with us or helped us in any way! Please keep seeding our files as long as there are no official releases!
