The Forgotten Man is the first track to be released from second album Circles, due for release on Friday 26th January 2024. Pre-order Circles on vinyl at www.thistlesifter.com The Forgotten Man represents the various struggles Barnes has been through in the last couple of years, after being literally catapulted into disarray by a serious cycling accident in November 2020. Injuries arising from this accident forced him to put his life on hold and reassess, resulting in a somewhat dysfunctional existence, as well as a growing sense of dislocation from many aspects of his life which had previously been taken for granted. Following the release of A Spectral Moon, Thistle Sifter played a handful of audiovisual concerts across the Netherlands in 2022, including AFAS Live in Amsterdam (with Sigur Ros) and Le Guess Who? festival in Utrecht. The live line-up features Pete Barnes (guitar), Tom Broshuis (guitar), Rob Wickham (synth & bass), Koen Klarenbeek (drums) and Thomas van Gaalen (live visuals).
