Dr Susie Bamford
I am an independent quantitative researcher and statistician. I help charities, businesses, and individuals understand and use evidence to inform their practice by reviewing literature, designing robust research, analysing data, and communicating results via infographics and reports.
My background was as an academic and an experimental psychologist specialising in cognitive neuroscience. I've explored research into our responses to reward and threat, investigated brain areas involved in emotional response by studying brain injury following stroke, and examined disorders such as adhd and anxiety.
More recently I gained experience outside of academia applying my research methods and statistical knowledge at the National Foundation for Educational Research. There I was heavily involved in the trials unit designing and running randomised controlled trials in education, in addition to analysing existing datasets for educational research.
I'm now an independent consultant. I work with clients helping them with many aspects of research but specialising in quantitative methods. If you would like to find out more about how I could help you or your company understand your data, design some new research, or explore existing research, please get in touch. Email me at [email protected] or take a look at my website: www.bntresearch.com
Supervisors: Professor David Baldwin, Dr Matthew Garner, Professor Edmund Sonuga-Barke, Professor Oliver Turnbull, and Professor Robert Ward
