Solaria's Webspace
Welcome!
This is my home on the web where I am free to be me ♥ Here I can induldge in all of my interests, from cringe to professional, without having to box them up into seperate little "brands". It is also an escape from bad faith assumptions (where one accuses the other of the worst possible interpretation of their words), a common practice on social media sites.
Here I make guides, display my art, log various things, make "shrines" and more! At its core this site is just a record of things I like ^^
Using my computers default text editor, I code this site in raw HTML, CSS, and a little JS :3 Its straightforward, simple, and I have precise control.
I started learning HTML and CSS via w3schools in late 2021. I did not intend for my site to be long term, but I am glad I have found this wonderful home in the personal web ♥ The passion, creativity, and earnest expression here is refreshing. I have had a personal site since February 14th 2022!
At the end of the day, this site is mostly for my own reference and archival (even my guides are written for me to look back on when I've forgotten something), but if others find my stuff helpful or enjoyable thats even better!
Constant WIP
This site is a perpetual Work In Progress! There is no "finished product". I've been slowly adding to this site page by page since 2022 and while my additions have slowed, they have certainly not stopped. Even pages that appear to be done may be subject to revision years later! I also started redoing all my pages from scratch in April 2025, and uh its still technially in progress... I hope to clean up my beginner code, reduce file size, and make everything way more organized, but some page links may be broken because of this.
This site is unfinished, but it is alive ♥
About
You can call me Solaria ♥ I am 26 and have a full time job (making dentures!), so unfortunately I can't spend as much time on my site as I'd like u_u. I've got mild Autism and my special interest is Rainbows and Color, which I have a seperate site about! I've always been an artist, though I don't draw my characters or paint as much as I used to. My website is my current creative expression, I love tinkering with CSS and page designs. As such I consider myself more of a web artist than a web designer, webdev, or webmaster.
I've replaced my about page with this section, but heres a few updated bits from that page:

Webrings
This site is part of the Code Collective, a webring for coding resources!
What are "webrings" and "fanlistings"?
Webrings are collections of websites according to a topic. Each member has a place in a list which the next and previous links navigate. The next link from a website last in the list should take the viewer back to the first person on the list, making a "ring". To be included in a webring you will have to contact the ringleader, and ask to join. If the webring is still being maintained, the ringleader will add your site into the ring as long as your site doesn't violate any of their rules.
Fanlistings are the simpler version of webrings, they are simply lists of sites who filled out a form to join. Check out Fanlistings Network to find listings for things you're a fan of :3
Both webrings and fanlistings are cool ways to find sites within the personal web by topic, which is handy when search engines only show corperate results. Unfortunately they easily fall unmainted and can contain dead links.
Contact
I honestly don't like emails, I know others in the small web are trying to bring it back as a form of personal communication but I prefer talking to someone in a community/public space before any kind of private message, since I like to get a better of a feel for someone beforehand. My online social interaction started on DeviantArt, and we chatted a lot in the comments. Anyways, feel free to leave a message below, or comment on my neocities profile :3
