I am here because I do not altogether fit in anywhere in the fandom, and this is likely the best fit. I'm not a yiff-o-maniac or anything along those lines, but cartoony drawing and meaningless flights of fancy are only cute, and not deep rooted.. neither is sex for that matter, but at least it can feel more so.
I am what is known as a "Furry Lifestyler", though I hate both words. "Furry", because it sounds silly and immature (though I must admit, that matches most of the fandom), and "Lifestyler" because it makes one sound like they are living a certain way by choice, trying to fit into a mold. Aside from having very little physical attraction to humans, this causes a number of other social problems, so I have very few friends IRL, and of those only my girlfriend is also a "furry" and understands my actions and mind much.
I have been cursed with incredible intelligence and endless creativity, both of which lead me to live in a never-ending depressed state. This sadly (no pun intended... no really, I mean it this time) keeps me from writing much, though if all of my role-playing were converted to book form, I would've written a hundred books by now.
As for mundane, reality-based information about myself: My real name is Mark (male if that isn't obvious), I live in Auburn, WA in the US. My job is web programming, which does pay well and allows me to work from home, but it is a stressful, menial chore of a job. I am, as of this writing (July 2nd, 2007), 29 years old.
I have signed up here to try testing waters that I have not tried before, namely writing short stories that other people will actually read. Yiff is not going to be a focal point, but it won't be absent either...
