TL/DR:
Long time fan, new member. Not necessarily a Wolf but it will do nicely for now. PC gaming, good food and friends, Wolves, Great cats, Dragons, Raccoons, fishing, shooting, summer storms, DnD, Science Fiction. Oh, and hello!

Hi, I'm Wolfly but not necessarily a Wolf. I'm a long time furry fan but have never been active in the community beyond some RP years ago, simply lurking around and soaking up the artwork and fiction which all y'all talented folks have produced over the years. I'm a comfortable bachelor, done with schools now and doing the 40-hour-week for a living. Since I can remember I've always felt an affinity for animals. I love the wild and terrible beauty of wolves and great cats, and appreciate all kinds of creatures.

I'm a long-time PC gamer and somewhat an enthusiast, I do some writing just for myself as a creative outlet, and some back-story stuff for DnD characters. One of my favorite PCs to play in DnD is an anthro black panther, created with 3.5 rules, who is a multiclassed Rogue/Thief. His favored weapons are spear, rapier and of course teeth 'n claws when it comes down to it! I also have in my roster a Giant Eagle who was rescued/raised by my original PC, and she has become one of my other favorite characters. My party also appreciates the 'aerial support' at times! None of my DnD group are furries but they all enjoy roleplaying and adventuring with my more "unusual" characters. I don't have any sort of established fursona but considering my chosen name I guess a simple, anthro Wolf really will do for now if you want a definite target for snowballs or beer or whatever you want to throw at me.

I also love the outdoors, fishing (even if I don't catch a thing, I just like being out there), hiking, bonfires with friends (and beer!), target shooting and skeet, long drives in random directions... the list goes on of course. I really enjoy Science Fiction novels/stories, as well as Fantasy although I read pretty much anything that I come across or is recommended to me.

As for the genesis of my interest in things Furry I would have to pick out the Redwall books by Brian Jacques, and of course Disney's Robin Hood which still captivates me. Good music, too! My introduction to the fandom on the Web came through my interest in TLK as a youngster - I spent a lot of my time out of school (and sometimes, in) on the MUCKs, and enjoying the fan fics and artwork. From there it was only a hop and a skip to discover the furry fandom. I've lurked around for years, just soaking up the fiction and artwork produced by others. I was kind of overwhelmed by FurryMUCK "back in the day", had a hard time finding people to RP with who didn't want to immediately yiff or eat me, haha. In recent years I haven't spent much time lurking around, being busy with school and work and such, but lately I'm finding more time to devote to all of my interests. I hope - and suspect - I will find plenty of interesting people and discussions around here with which to enjoy some of that free time, develop some old characters, or dream up new ones.
