During WWII gryphons were primarily used as close air support to ground troops, they were tasked with special assignments around the world. Meanwhile anthro avians, while wingless still possessed all the natural instincts inherent to flight, therefor aircraft were almost exclusively built for their smaller frames. The 305th Special Ops Squadron of the US Army Air Corps was comprised of avian volunteers from elsewhere in the service, pilots would transfer into this squadron with their issued aircraft as such the 305th had a mix of aircraft, ranging from purpose built A-25 gunships, to P-38s, P-51s and some other types of fighters.
Fidik Vien: 6' tall on his fours feral gryphon, always seen with his feathers painted a forest camoflage. Fidik is most at home performing high performance aerial strafes with his longtime wingman Chris flying cover.
Christopher Motiva: Chris is a 5'8" tall 'crow'. Crows are black feathered wingless avian anthros that typically live in close-knit families in the northernmost parts of the eastern United States. However many of them signed up for service in the Army air corps. Christopher comes from a small northern Maine town and was a pilot in his father's freight company the 'Rural New Hampshire and Maine Freight Company' but now flies P-38 Lightnings in the Air Corps.
Raela Maie: 7' tall on her fours feral gryphoness. Raela is a immensely sized broadwing eagle gryphon. She is the squadrons navigator, attack controller and communications expert. Raela is specially trained to navigate based on topography and carries a special pack as she flies and often has to trail long antennae in order to communicate the current units location and hear new orders. Raela guides forces in based on current mission operations, speaking with field commanders on the ground, and aircraft in the air.
The man behind the curtain: A friendly northern gryphon who loves to RP. Especially story based RP, I'm more than open to entertain new ideas and concepts on how my characters can fit into a different world or story.
