In this world where magic and technology runs rampant, a mutant isn't completely unheard of. However, that doesn't always necessarily make mutants very welcome, not by a long shot. Ever get picked on in school for being fat? Try being a gay mutant 'freak.' That's been the story of Terry's life, thus far.

When Terry was dropped off at an orphanage, (old school style, too!), he was barely able to crawl. He was literally found, alone, in front of the orphanage door, barely old enough to crawl. He was taken in, naturally, and it didn't take long that the nun that took care of him found out that he was a mutant. The boy was clumsy as most are, but most boys didn't heal their bumps and scrapes in just a few seconds. The only visible sign of his ability was the strange glowing of his golden irises. And as he grew, he quickly became a target for both physical and verbal abuse.

The young cat never reacted badly to these happenings. After all; the bruises and scrapes only hurt for a few seconds! It was when he turned five years old that he discovered another ability: he could create force fields of some sort. These fields would either be invisible, or visible by his own imagination. He found that he could create visible boxes made out of this force of his, and he could change their shape and appearance at will. It didn't take long before he started making toys for himself. He had plenty of time alone, none of the other children wanted much to do with him.

It was when his caretaker saw his new ability that she decided to take him to a supernatural specialist physician. It had never been necessary before, but now... now she just wanted to know -what- or -who- she was taking care of! The results of the tests shocked even the doctor, who had plenty of experience with the strange and supernatural.

Little Terry-kit, as the nun called him, had a strange networking all through his body, of what looked to be spider-web thin, flexible wires, that only showed up in special scans. There must have been miles and miles of it, seeming to run mainly along his nervous system, through almost every inch of his body. This seemed to be the cause of his new ability, and oddly enough, did not seem to be a part of his regenerative mutant attribute. The strange networking was most prevalent in his brain and eyes. When a sample of this 'wiring' was taken from the boy's body for testing, it shriveled up and dissipated into dark smoke. It seemed that the relationship between this alien networking and the boy was a mutual symbiotic one. The boy could probably live without the wiring, but it could not 'live' without him.

Terry did not know why, but several surgeries were performed on him over a few weeks. He did not know why he needed them, and no one was about to tell him. It was by accident, while Terry was barely conscious, that the fact slipped by that the surgeries were experiments, trying to successfully harvest whatever alien technology was in him. He also heard something about the surgeries becoming more difficult, due to the increasing strength of his regeneration, and electrical malfunctions of equipment during the activity of surgery... the wiring was alive and fighting invasion even as the boy was unconscious.

When the boy was in his hospital room, alone, he made the decision to run away... and run away he did. He had long ago learned that he could cloak himself so that no one could see him, so it was an easy thing for him to escape the horrible place.

He has been on the run ever since. It has been several years, -now 13 years old,- and it has been child's play, -literally- to keep unwanted adults away. As for food and clothing, it has been even easier to steal all that for himself. He never went another day to school, but knowledge was always easy to come by, and he did enjoy to read and learn new things. Books are the only things he has ever returned.

He lives by himself, creating his own shelters here and there, invisible from prying eyes. It's been an easy, but lonely life, and it is because of this fact that he has recently been more forthcoming with his appearances.
