Sumari is my main Lion King sona. I've had her since I was little with
different forms/names/etc but with the release of the lion guard

this past fall I decided to dust her off and bring her back into the
light. She's a nomadic lioness that just wasn't suited for pride

life. Her home pride still accepts her wandering in and out of their
territory, but she rarely stays in one place for too long. Some

areas are more accepting of her passing through than others, which has
led to both nasty scuffles and grand adventures! Her coat

is a dusty tan color with darker tan along her shoulders and flanks, flecked by a scant few white spots, and she sports a long

hair tuft that's usually flopped to one side of her face. Being nomadic, she's a thicker built lioness (sarabi-esque).

A b o u t M e

The quick and dirty: I like The Lion King, Drawing, and Gaming. I'm
going to school for Illustration and want to write/illustrate childrens
books, but that does not mean this is going to be a PG gallery. I'm not
always politically correct.


WIP/Extended: Currently I'm a college student shooting for my bachelors
in Illustration and Graphic Design. In the future I would love to start
writing and illustrating childrens books as a side job, or possibly
figure out some way to join the ranks of the disney greats as a story
board artist! But for right now, I'm stuck in a humdrum minimum wage job
flipping burgers, more or less, lol. I've been a shadow on the
outskirts of the fandom for the longest time, fighting the 'no, i'm not a
furry, I just like animation and animals and drawing said things
together' but I've finally conceded to the fact that that's what it
means to be a furry, so here I am. The rest of the world doesn't know
this yet, so my fur art and related things will be kept very apart from
my other stuff. Apologies for that, but you know how it is!


The works of Disney have always been a huge inspiration to me with
movies like The Lion King, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Beauty and the
Beast just to name a few that are at the top of the list. Dreamworks
pictures, Universal, and the works of Don Bluth have also played a major
part in forging my way into the art world, as well as a fair dose of
anime and other inspirations. I've always had a major love of animals as
well, so being able to focus on both things in one go, and with many
movies revolving around anthropomorphic animals as of late, and
throughout the history of animation almost to it source, it's hard to
not go full tilt into this world. That said, I also try to exercise my
art skills whenever I can, and often experiment with different styles
when I'm able to. A lot of what I'll be posting here will have a main
TLK flair to it, but I will be constantly spreading out what I typically
draw, and practicing style imitations for everything from Adventure
Time, Gravity Falls and Steven Universe, to things like The Last
Unicorn, FLCL, and much more recent animated films.


For the most part, a lot of what I draw, personally, sticks to a mostly
PG/PG-13 rating, but part of that were the constraints of the sites
things were posted on. For now, I'm going to be sticking to that idea, I
think, BUT I am open to drawing more mature things, and I hope to make
my gallery an interesting one!
