I'm trying to become a published author and this is the side of me that doesn't quite fit into the 'acceptable' and 'mainstream' brackets. I try to put the same level of care and detail into these stories as in my 'normal' work, and most of the time they're a hell of a lot more fun to write. There's no point in them sitting on an encrypted hard drive somewhere and vanishing when I forget the password.
