From the depths of society, many arise, and of those, only the strongest are remembered.  That brings us to the small town of Welwyn, an Appalachian Mountain precinct in between Ohio and Pennsylvania, on the edge of Lake Erie.  This town is home to many great and powerful people.  Of these people, a humble team of bold individuals strives to start their lives and succeed.  This sets my story.

Allow me to introduce myself:

Hi!  I am Ryan!  I am an animator and graphic arts student from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  I have been a furry for quite a while now, and I have come into the community to spread awareness about my intentions to create a film and a novel series for my upcoming senior year.  Not only do I want to create it for school, but I want to launch a career on it!

Listen - The Marcus Rison Tale is a novel set around the life of blind Wolf Hybrid by the same name, and the friends that have helped to bring him up.  The time period is modern, but the town being so small and secluded by the mountains has denied it a share of modern innovations.  This sets the main struggle for a few of the characters.

Characters:

-Marcus-  Asexual - Male - Grey Wolf - Dreamer - Ringleader

 Marcus starts off as any blind student would.  He has alot missing, and he learns eventually that his life may not be as great as life is said to be by the sighted.  In a furious personal argument with his family, Marcus makes a bold move to clear his stressful mind.  In the dead of the morning, he decides to walk out.  This is where he meets a peculiar stranger to whom he takes a drawing to.

This stranger doesn't shy away.  In fact, he relates to Marcus.  But this is no ordinary stranger.  This is an international super criminal.  Relationships are the last thing this man has on his mind.  Romex as he is known has been stalking Marcus for years.  This is the chance of a lifetime.

-Vince-  Homosexual - Male - Red Fox - Influential - Radio Pioneer

Meanwhile, another soul deals with his share of life.  Vince is an almost entirely purebred Red Fox Hybrid that just may be one of the most crucial characters in the book.  Vince begins in Welwyn simply.  He is a student at the school, he is really social, and he is just so positive and loving!  The problem is, his parents are not around too much.  Vince's mother is a prostitute, and his father is a cab driver.  Vince's child life was really rough, and it is indirectly Vince's fault.  Despite being social and all, Vince is also rather intellectual.  His greatest accomplishment is figuring out how to send sound through the air.  Being that radio was not introduced to Welwyn at this point in time, this launched Vince forward in his life.  Vince established a radio station with his long time friend, and future lover Norman, and later pioneered television.  In this quick rise to fame, Vince's parents ultimately stole his wealth, leaving him with a small portion of it.  They also have had their way around with Vince's money, and this leaves Vince quite torn later in the story.

-Jase-  Bisexual - Male - White Rabbit - Comical/Shady - Medical Student

Jase is a character I am still working on.  He is a modern themed White Rabbit who speaks with slang terms from the 1920's.  He is quite social, and seems to be always writing.  He plays football for Welwyn which is later where he sees his opportunity with Marcus being present at all of the games.  Jase is a medical student at the area's Vocational Technical School.  Not only is he a student, but he is at the top of his class.  Inside of school and football, Jase seems to be very secure and understood.  He excelles at everything he does.  But outside of school, Jase is a slave.  He does not serve a human or an animal, but rather a spirit.  Jase has been necromancer since the age of seven.  The spirits Jase talks to allow him to heal, and cast out damage.  He can summon them at any time for guidance, and to use their powers, but Jase must make a small sacrifice.  This has resulted numerous cuts on his chest and few on his arms, roughly resembling tattoos of the spirits.  Jase fills each of these cuts with ink, and sets them.
