My name is Lunar Star. In an age long past I was once a proud warrior of the Equestrian crown. I fought her enemies, I protected her ponies and gave of myself to her. Not long after Canterlot's founding a terrible war broke out in the far north. Panthers had apparently made their way south and invaded the griffon lands, slaughtering any they saw. It was against the wishes of the one I loved but I left to combat this new foe.
I took with me the Stellar Legion. A large group of highly trained and skilled ponies which I commanded. We fought the Panthers and their technology back past the griffon's borders. It was there that we held our own against them and with my Captain of the Legion, Gentle Evening, we were able to hold them off till the rest of the Equestrian and Griffon armies had arrived.
During the last days of the war I made the ultimate sacrifice, I gave my life to protect the mare I loved. In those moments before everything went black. I made a vow that even in death I would always protect the mare I loved and her sister.
An eon passed it seemed and somehow I found myself back once more in the land I called home. It would not be till many months later that I found out it was Evening Star, the father of both Celestia and Luna, that brought me back. I was not sure as to the reason until several years later.
Long ago before Alicorns even set hoof on Equestrian soil. We lived on island paradise called Eden. It was here that we lived in harmony with nature. But like all good things, something bad always happens. A mare once known as Summer Wind destroyed our island and nearly killed the entire Alicorn race. Were it not for a group of friends she would have wiped us all out. From then on she is known only as Anarchy Shade.
It was this darkness that I was brought back to stop and it is this darkness I will end.
