The man that scribbles on these pages for all to see is about as ordinary and as average as you can get. Think of a white male, lean and wiry with greying hair and restless blue eyes in a weathered face. Forty-odd years on the planet have tempered him somewhat, and the trials of being a high school educated wrench puller have left their marks on both mind and body. Stir in the effects of a lifetime of living in the beautiful but often harsh climate of western Canada and a thirty plus year love affair with the game of hockey and the picture is nearly complete. Healthy doses of wanderlust, stubborn independence and restless curiosity are needed to round things out, as is a love for science fiction, an affinity for large furry canines and a deep fondness for mountainous places heavily forested and thinly populated. The final touch is his sometimes annoying habit of asking the world the two most important questions ever asked: How? And, why?

The author is a busy man. His days as a carefree bachelor are lost to him now, replaced with the demands of family. He writes when he can find short minutes of peace among the daily chaos of life, sometimes because he wants to and other times because the voices in his head leave him little choice in the matter. Updates are infrequent but he does throw one out there every now and then just so people know that he is still alive.
