I will decline certain subject matter as I see fit, some things I'm just not kosher with. It isn't personal judgment against you or your interests, but I just won't force myself to be uncomfortable for a commission.
I'm disabled. Sometimes that means that I can't work on stuff for an extended period. My turn around time is chaotic. It can be days, or it could be weeks. I am typically very up front about it the second I know my medical stuff is acting up and taking me out of being able to work on things. Because of this I accept no payment until after commissions are complete so that, if any time, you want to cancel and walk away, you can.
