An Officer in the US Navy SEALs and a fair marksman, Johnathan Fardel (far-DELL would be how you pronounce it, though being from the southern US, it may sound a bit wonky to people who don't personally know him) used to lead a normal life. When, in 2035, his team was on a mission in Iran, he was betrayed to them by the President. From there, Iranian scientists did tests on him to make the perfect soldier: perfect vision and good nightvision, excellent hearing and balance, hiding blades on the body that are undetectable, and the like. They slapped a tail and cat ears on him as an insult, but used gene splicing and such treatments to make them a part of his body. Instead of an insult, he took them with pride and used them to break out, killing the complacent General in the process. He recounts this story in his writings : Furst strike, a play on the fact he became a "furry" to his men, who nick-named him "Fur"del. He uses this to write about certain things going on and write fantasy stories based on ideas he has that can never become a possibility.
