Introduction/characters
Just your average furry pretty much. I have two fursonas, an adult fox named Matt and a cub cat named Matthew.
Matt is a 19-year-old red fox and represents "me" in adult form. Occasionally he is portrayed as being FtM transgender, but not always. Because of his similarity to me I often find it awkward drawing him, so I tend to use him in swaps instead.
Matthew is a 5-year-old flame-point himalayan cat boy. I chose to make him a separate character because I've always felt as if my little side was separate from my big side. Matthew is more of an idealized version of my childhood. He's not transgender, so right away he manages to avoid a lot of the struggles I faced/am facing, although he isn't perfect and still retains some of my less-ideal traits like my introversion and sometimes clinginess.
In addition to my two fursonas, I also have a little made-up world filled with hundreds of characters. Creating them is like a compulsion to me sometimes - I build upon what is already there and also constantly think of new ideas and ways to portray things, which is why I seem to have so many. Having said that, a lot of them are either minor/"background" characters or are somehow relevant to another one of my characters, so the actual number of characters I consistently use is actually much smaller.
Art and what I do
I've been drawing consistently ever since I was nine-years-old, and started out doodling Sonic the Hedgehog and Pokemon characters in my journals at school. Eventually I began to realize that I could use my art to tell stories and explain ideas that I had without having to use words. I often have long "dry spells" which I am trying to combat by sketching daily, but often I don't post those.
I am best at drawing child characters (between ages 4-12) and teen/young adult characters. I try to practice a variety of species and themes as well, and love to experiment with art programs and coloring/shading.
Commissions: Not currently, but maybe in the future.
Trades: Yes, I do trades with anyone regardless of artistic level, as long as they put some effort into their work.
Requests: Maybe, feel free to ask but don't be surprised if I decline.
