I am 12.


I'm a lion, though my fur is unlike any other lion's. The black and white resemble the markings of a dog, a husky, and the white wings on my back are inexplicable. My eyes are heterochromatic, one blue and one amber, also like a husky's. I'm not sure how I got this way. I'm not sure about a lot of things about me. There are times when I'm not even sure who I am or what I'm here for. There are times when I wonder what makes me unique besides my looks. There are times when I wonder what the point of it all is.

But you know what? I'm learning. Life is experience, and living is what you do with that experience. The longer I'm here, the more people I meet, the more I learn about who I am and who I want to be. I don't have to worry about the unknown. All I need is a plan: to keep going, to keep living. All I need to know is that whatever I am to be, wherever I am to end up, I want to be the very best, like no one ever was.

After all, the world, like me, is more than just black and white.
