Heya! I'm kind of new around here, but let's see if I can place something here that doesn't come off as silly or crazy...hmm..
Well, I've been writing since I was a little girl, mostly in role-playing forums, and eventually decided that I wanted to write for a living. It's not a dream that's easy to reach, but I've come a long way and continue writing simply because I enjoy it. Hopefully someday I will complete a full novel and eventually get published as unlikely as that is!
I came across SoFurry back when it was still yiffstar and kind of just lurked around while reading the work of others. The idea of writing short stories, especially furry ones, really appealed to me. A short story is a much easier project to swallow than a full novel and you don't have to worry as much about the little things; probably even less so since people here are used to reading content that hasn't been touched by an editor or that has been made by green authors.
I also wanted to try my hand at writing a bit of erotic work which seems like it could be a lot of fun. This is another reason why I kind of became attached to SoFurry, actually.
Anyway, I decided against my better judgment to write a few random short story series for SoFurry. Some clean, some not, some a mix. Who knows what I'll come up with? If you can put up with my terrible writing hopefully you'll find something to enjoy while I improve.
Um, about myself, I'm currently 22 (almost 23!) and living somewhere nice and warm. I hate it! I miss snowy white winters and the cold, especially when you have a hot cup of coco and someone warm to snuggle with.
I graduated with a computer science degree, but because of the economy I haven't put it to much use. Pretty much I spend my days reading or writing when I'm not working, playing the occasional video game and watching/reading my beloved anime/manga shows. I know it's cliché , but I also like taking long walks by the beach (which is nearby). If I have to be stuck somewhere so damnably hot at least this is a nice perk. When it's quiet and no one's around (like at night) it's really a relaxing place to be.
That's probably why it became such an overused cliché, actually.. but I suggest trying it at least once.
I personally prefer fantasy over anything else when it comes to writing/reading/watching, but obviously there are exceptions. I also like a good story and plot development, something you don't see much in movies these days (which is why I stick to books). I tend to almost always have plot development and character development in my short stories, but I'll try my hand at some faster paced stand-alone stories, likely of the erotic nature.
