I am now 29 years old and I joined 4 years ago.
I write to clear my head and allow myself to say what I can't speak. I am very sentimental and emotional when it comes to family and friends.
I have worked in the sports field with video and equipment for colleges the past 10 years including my time as a student manager. I am also a closet furry and have a huge obsession for foxes and wolves. The two animals that are often seen as villains and very misunderstood. I consider myself to be misunderstood by my peers, because I'm very reserved and quiet, and at times a bit absent minded.
I tend to be viewed as an idiot because I have a hard time saying what I mean and struggle finding the right words. Writing has been an outlet for me to deal with my problems and issues from my childhood and I have improved over the years, but the scars remain and had several rounds of counseling to deal with them.
Growing up in the South is difficult for people with open minds and hearts, especially if your views and opinions differ from the Bible thumpers. I believe there is a right way and a wrong way of doing things, and often times Christians think they can insult others and chastise them for their sins, but I don't believe in that. I don't judge others because I've been around "Hellfire and Brimstone people" and know that we're not perfect and neither are devout Christians. I live my life the way I see fit and follow my heart and my beliefs, and I respect others who do that and accept others regardless of religion, race, sexuality, or personal beliefs.
