I hail from a farm in the semi-rural suburbs of a small Mississippi town. I led a very lonely childhood due to the fact that I had no siblings and my parents worked most of the day both on and off the farm while I stayed home. Because most of our neighbors were elderly, there were no other children for me to interact with outside of school. In order to soothe my boredom and loneliness, my wonderful mother encouraged me to read and bought me almost any book I asked for. It was this love of reading which inspired me to try my hand at writing. I have dabbled over the years, but because of my academic endevours, I have never really had much time to truly pursue this passion. This is due mainly to the fact that my parents veiwed writers as starving artists and encouraged me to seek another profession which could sustain me, while keeping writing as a hobby.
I was introduced to furry fandom by a high-school acquaintance who had begun to experiment with it. Curious, I began to investigate the furry world. I found it to be very interesting, although at that time nothing came of it other than my love for furry web comics such as Better Days and Twokinds.
Not long ago, I began to attend Mississippi State University. Being from a small town, I was shocked by the amount of diversity here. Because MSU's tuition is lower than that of many other U.S. universities, many international students choose to go to school here. I very much enjoyed meeting students from England, Spain, Haiti, Korea, Thailand, Egypt and many others. Never before had I been surrounded by so many different races, creeds, and nationalities.
Among the peopIe I met were furries. I found them to be very good natured and welcoming. Seeing that I had some previous knowledge of the fur nation, they invited to participate in some of their activities. Things snowballed from there and before I knew it, I was immersed in the furry world. Returning once again to my explorations, I discovered Yiffstar, a site dedicated to all things furry and erotic. Seeing as these were two subjects which I had never before used in my writing, I veiwed the site as a welcome challenge to my unrefined writing skills and an outlet for all my newly acquired yiffy urges.
My current project is called Primal Passions. The story is set in a slightly distopian comic book world. In this world, those humans who are born with or acquire special abilities are known as neo-humans. These neo-humans are managed by the Global Defense Force, a large organization of super-heroes dedicated to maintaining peace and order on planet Earth.
The story centers around Primal and Thorn, two members of the GDF's newest rookie team, The New Defenders.
Thorn is a shy, lonely girl who wields the power of a cursed bracelet powered by the pain of a brutal assault. Primal is a gentle, caring young man who struggles with the ancient powers that transformed him into a savage beast for control of his body and his humanity. Seeking solace in each other, they form an all conquering love which will face betryal and rejection as their world begins to crumble around them. However, as their love grows, so does an unseen evil. Can they ever truly be together? Will their love be accepted, and will it survive the coming war?

I want to try and explain exactly what it is I plan to do with the story.
Primal Passions is set in a comic book world which I created several years ago along with rosters of heroes and villains each with his or her own unique backstory. Don't worry, you won't have to read them all. Because the story is set in an comic book world, it will have a very comic book feel. When I pick up a comic series I am unfamiliar with, there are certain things that I expect. One of them is that everything will not be completely clear to me. Many comics draw on the rich history of their worlds. Because of this I know that there will be references to events, people, and objects that I know nothing about. That's okay. Because comic universes can be so vast, even the most devoted comic fans never know what is going on 100% of the time.
If Dr. Apocalypse comes back from the dead with the Staff of Time to destroy the Justice Squad, I don't question it. I don't know who he is or when he died but I still think that it's cool that he's back and that he has the staff. I just go with the flow and enjoy it. That is the approach that I want others to take while reading Primal Passions. I do not want readers to feel confused and discouraged by the number of characters or references to past events. Although I will eloborate on the most important parts, not everything or everyone mentioned is vital to the plot. Much of it is just filler and fluff to give it that genuine comic book feel. So relax, read, and go with the flow.
