I am, more or less, a fetish artist. I draw stuff that can get pretty extreme. I do this for myself, because it's stuff that I want to look at. There isn't enough of it out there to satisfy me, or the things that are there aren't quite to my taste. I was convinced to share this stuff by a friend that I did a commission series for. If you don't like it, don't look at it. I didn't make it for you, and the people I did make it for appreciate it. That's all I care about.
On that note, artistic criticism is welcome. I'm likely to leave enough of it myself on my pictures. However, complaints can be dropped in the nearest toilet and flushed. If you don't like it, don't look at it.
So, why put stuff on SoFurry instead of the various other art sites? Basically, less rules = more art. I've seen tons of crap on here that wouldn't fly other places. I might eventually begin uploading to other sites, but I didn't want to have to split my stuff between say FA and InkBunny and DeviantArt because one place only allows some of the things I do. This is pretty much a dumping ground for things I want to link to elsewhere. If that doesn't work out, I may have to resort to e621, but I wanted somewhere I could at least describe the pictures. I might end up uploading some stories about my rp characters, narrative rp threads, or actual rps with the permission of the other player(s), probably edited for flow.
I work in traditional media, that being pencil/pen and paper. My method for going from sketch (or in the case of some of my older work, rough ink) to finalized ink is to scan the image, lighten it so that the lines barely visible, then do the final ink on the enlarged copy I print out, preserving the originals for posterity while providing me with a clean final product. I prefer Staedtler pens, but I also use Prismacolor. Sometimes I end up using ballpoint pen, that normally being for red ink. Just in case anyone is curious.
I've also got a slew of mental disorders, the kind that generally have people on disability, so if I respond to a comment with something that seems inappropriate, know that I'll come back later when I'm more sane and change it. I decided that I didn't want to live off of the government, so I downplay the things that are wrong with me as much as possible and try to act like a normal person, or as close as I can get.
I am apparently now addicted to gathering pets on ChickenSmoothie.
