Current Track: Blabb

Hello, and welcome to my cozy corner of the internet! I'm Kaevon (kye-EHH-vuhn, he/they) but friends call me Kae (KYE), a furry writer who's been engaged with the fandom since 2007. I write, make commissions, and am the designated mom of my furry friends. I've been on FurAffinity only for such a long time, but since SoFurry has always seemed more writer-friendly, I figured I'd branch out!

'Sonas:

  • Kaevon (They/he): Quadrupedal winged arctic fox from the northern mountains, nomadic by nature. Curious, introverted, cautious, engaging.
  • Kujo (He/Him): Anthro hybrid gyrfalcon/bluejay, easily teased and secretly enjoys the attention. Expressive, artistic, empathetic, excitable. L
  • ion Kae (All pronouns): No name, WIP. Lion King style quadrupedal lion. Forward, affectionate, caring, open.

About Me:

I've been writing fantasy, slice of life, and fanfic fiction stories since roughly 2003 when I created a short series called "The Chocolate Cow" that consisted of a cow who was bitten by a radioactive milkshake and gained super powers. I wrote at least...8 excerpts of it, read them to my class, and was encouraged by my teacher to keep going. I've been writing ever since, and it's one of my primary creative outlets. I was born and raised in the Midwest of the United States, having moved roughly 10 times since 2010, and have a Master's Degree in Developmental Psychology. with a Bachelor's in Animal Behavior (Go figure). Through all my years of moving around, studying, fighting mental health, figuring out gender expression and sexuality, and overcoming a LOT of inherent shame, I've found myself in the furry fandom since 2007. Saying that sounds WEIRD, but it's me! First convention was IndyFurCon 2010 (Inaugural year), and I currently make it to Midwest FurFest and Furry Migration every year if I can. Random traits most everyone who knows me well knows:

  • I'm a momma bear and I will mom the heccin' hecc out of you if I hear you talking down on your art or you aren't charging enough for commissions!
  • Lion King for the Sega Genesis is one of my first lucid memories, so as a result I'm uh...we'll say a huge Lion King fan
  • The most common traits in my writing are transformation, hypnosis, flowery/artsy descriptors, and consent - always
  • I can be the life of the party or I can slink into the background. The more comfy I am with you, the more active and 'exuberant' I get
  • I'm friendly! But it also takes a while to get me to be comfortable. Please understand - I have a lot of trust issues for reasons

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy my stories. I put a lot of my heart into them, and I want to create beautiful words that move people. So thanks for visiting, and always remember - self-care and well-being above all else~
