Hello yiffstar public, I don't really have anything to explain here, so I'll just cut right to the chase: here is part 5 of my series "The Order". As I always say: please leave feedback. Enjoy the story! # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # It was a very awkward moment, to say the least. There he was, his face maybe a single foot away from her own. Kirie hadn't been vigilant; she'd allowed herself to be discovered for a second time. Not to mention she had just come to the realization that she was in love with the huma....wait. What did he say his name was? Oh, right. Anthony. Well, there was nothing that could be done about it now. There were a few ways she could get out of this, she could simply knock him unconscious, but that would become complicated. She could simply cast a quick spell to put him to sleep, but she was still vastly weak since her link was severed with Ardom so long ago. Kirie knew that a spell cast on someone else took considerably more energy than a spell cast on ones self. Kirie probed her mind for the correct word or phrase to use, it had been a while since she had last used magic. Finding the correct word, Kirie thought of a way to cleverly break the tension of the moment before her escape. * * * * * Well this was....odd. Anthony stared into the eyes of the cat....girl.....thing, for what seemed like an eternity. He didn't want to make a sudden movement, for fear of his life. Why had he told her his name? That was idiotic. Anthony continued to hold his finger along her neck without moving it an inch. If she was hostile he may lose the finger for all he knew. Neither of them blinked. Neither of them moved. It had been at least 20 seconds since she had awoken, and he was getting anxious as to what was about to happen. Maybe she was sizing up just how she was going to kill him! Not good. More and more seconds were ticking away. Each of them another grain of sand in his own personal hourglass. Anthony had to make a move, and fast. He quickly searched his thoughts for a clever way to get out unscathed from this situation. He couldn't run, she would catch him. He couldn't fight her, he would easily lose. Anthony was losing time. Any longer with this tension and she was bound to do something. He had to act first or he was as good as dead. It had already been 30 seconds. That was it. This had to end. And even though he didn't like it, Anthony new how to do just that. * * * * * Kirie gave a quick smirk before she uttered the spell. What she didn't expect was what Anthony said before she got the chance to do so. "So, come here often?" Anthony said with a confident smile. Kirie let out a very slight gasp as she looked away from Anthony in partial shock. "What's the matter?" Anthony asked, almost as a reflex. He instantly reprimanded himself in his mind. "That's..........just what he said when.......we met........." Kirie mumbled to herself as she recovered from the unexpected pick-up line. Anthony was perplexed, but still in potential danger. Realizing that she was occupied in her thoughts, Anthony tried to remove his hand from her neck as slowly as possible. This reminded Kirie of the situation at hand. She looked back at Anthony and uttered the spell. "Occaeco" Kirie muttered under her breath. Before Anthony could comprehend what she had said, Kirie turned invisible. Anthony's eyes went wide as his mouth went agape at the up close sight of a cat-woman disappearing mere inches from his face. Anthony arose from his kneeling position in shock and disbelief. What had she done?! She may be getting ready to kill him where he stood! Anthony looked around for some sign as to where she was. * * * * * Kirie held her paw up to her mouth, trying her best not to laugh. She had perched herself upon the nearby boulder that she had slept under. She viewed Anthony looking around as if he was being stalked. Well, he kind of was. Kirie tried to think of how she could "toy" with him before she departed. The spell would last another 10 or so minutes before wearing off, so she had some time to kill. "My, he's paranoid" Kirie chuckled under her breath. She instantly recovered her mouth when she realized what she had done, but it was too late. Anthony heard the voice coming from the rock he had found the girl under. He looked higher to the top of the boulder as he saw a very slight sillouete of a person against the sky. Anthony had located her, but it might not be as easy to do again if she moved. Thinking quickly, Anthony located some mud coating the bottom of a boulder perpendicular to the one Kirie was perched on. Grabbing a handful of the muk, Anthony hurled it at the invisible figure atop the rock. The mud connected with the figure, splattering across her midsection and giving Anthony a clear view of his would-be assailant. "Got you!" Anthony triumphantly shouted. A growl eminated from the filth covered sillouete. "Gaia almighty! I just cleaned this cloak!" Kirie quipped. Anthony instantly realized his blunder. He could now see her, but getting her angry might just prove fatal. Anthony decided now would be a good time as any to make a break for it. He turned and sprinted as fast as his legs would take him towards the trail back down from the plateau. "Well, at least he can think on his feet......" Kirie mumbled to herself while trying to remove the grime from her cloak. She looked up to see that Anthony was running towards the trail to exit the plateau. "Let's see just how quickly he can act under pressure........" she thought. Kirie lept of of her perch and quickly closed the gap between her and Anthony, preparing to pounce. * * * * * "Crap!" thought Anthony as he bolted for the ledge. He then herd a loud thumping sound followed by a quick succession of taps eminating from behind him. "CRAP!!!" he thought. Those sounds meant she was closing in. Anthony had to think fast. What did he have that could help? All he had were his wits and the food he had brought in case the trip took longer than expected........ Wait! The food! Anthony remembered learning that felines had a very acute sense of smell, and predatory ones were no exception. Luckily for him, that bland soup that had caused this little expedition also called for a recipe with onions. And he had taken one of the leftover ones along. It was a long shot, but it may just work. Anthony quickly reached into his front pocket and removed the piece of onion he had brought with him. Anthony then held the vegetable up to his jaw and took an enormous bite, chewing as fast as he could. Just then, a momentous force collided with his back and sent him sprawling to the ground in a heap. Anthony turned himself onto his back after his knockdown and was greeted by a momentous wait atop his chest. * * * * * "Well, so much for your speed" Kirie laughed as she straddled Anthony's chest, still invisible. "You won't be going anywhere now" she continued. "You'd think that wouldn't you" Anthony said with a chuckle. "And what do you mean by that my prey?" Kirie asked bringing her face to meet his. Anthony could judge by how her voice had become closer that her face must be just above his own. Perfect........ "I mean....THIS!" said Anthony as he opened his mouth and gave a heave of breath from the depths of his throat. "Arrrrghh!!!" Kirie hissed as the fowl smell invaded her senses. She had gotten so close to his mouth that she had received the full brunt of his putrid breath. Kirie reeled off of Anthony and spasmed on the ground, trying to rid her nostrils of the torrid smell of onions. Anthony smirked as he lept to the ground and made a second attempt to escape from the plateau. However, he underestimated how long the woman would be incapacitated, and he soon heard her rise and resume chase. Yet again; not good. * * * * * "Ok that's enough playing for one day" Kirie thought as she yet again probed her mind for the correct spell. Finding it, she smirked and said: "Dormio" Anthony was closing in on the relative safety of the plateau's exit before his world was enclosed in darkness. The human slowed to a shuffle and collapsed, face first, before he knew what was going on. Kirie gave a chuckle as she dismissed the invisibility spell, becoming visible again. "My my" Kirie muttered to herself with a grin. "Looks like the little human has his wits about him" the leapordess finished. Kirie sauntered up to Anthony's dormant form. She knelt beside him and flipped him over to get a better view of his features. Kirie looked over Anthony's body with close observation. She could tell that the recent sparring with the dragon was the cause of his developing muscles. They gave off a more toned, but not overly burly, look that Kirie admired. Kirie went over her options of what to do. The dragoness would be back at the clearing in a matter of hours, and if he wasn't there it could cause some complications with her task. Kirie thought for a moment as to what she could so with her future master before he was needed elsewhere. One idea in particular sprung into mind very quickly: sex. Kirie felt herself shudder at the thought of being with another male again. It had been so long since her last love-making with Ardom. Even though her visions of him were filled with emotion and pleasure, they were very far from the real thing. Kirie cleared her mind of such lude thoughts. She couldn't do that with him now! He still had yet to establish his iugum with the dragoness! Kirie reprimanded herself for letting her lust overcome her calculating intelligence yet again. The leapordess turned back and looked at Anthony. Kirie just wanted Ardom's prophecy to come true, she wanted a new master, she wanted this war to end, she wanted a renewed life, but most of all; She wanted a new lover..... And as the two figures resided atop the plateau, the wind whipping through their hair and fur alike, Kirie realized how she could get what she wanted. # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # Gonna cut you guys off here for now. Hope you like this iteration, no sex scene but it advances the plot slightly. I was originally going to include much more in this chapter but decided a cliffhanger would be better. If anyone wants a hint as to what's coming in the next chapter, let's just say that Anthony and Kirie share a passionate.......moment. Well so long! Stay tuned for more of The Order!
