Swimming Lessons (Rocket X Lylla)
And now for LordShitBird's primary commission, featuring some more casual nudity with Rocket and Lylla.
Honestly I know I'm gonna regret drawing this. Mostly because doing any art underwater makes me think of those drowning fetish enthusiasts who get off to that sort of thing. Granted, I did this to myself as the scene setup was my idea. I thought it would make it funny/cute to show Lylla basically swimming circles around Rocket while he struggled to swim like a wet cat. I imagine Rocket was talking a pretty big game prior to his lesson. After all, swimming in zero G and getting rained on is basically the same thing right?
They are not, in fact, the same thing.
Lylla does take the high road, however, and comforts Rocket after the attempted lesson. Giving him a little smooch for his troubles.
Considering LordShitBird had this scene drawn by other artists previously, I wanted to go in a different direction which is what inspired setting this below the waves. At the end of the day, you can't control how people want to perceive your work...so I'm letting that go for my own mental health.
